Bob Howlett is the Academic Chair of KES International a non-profit organisation which facilitates knowledge transfer and the dissemination of research results in areas including Intelligent Systems, Sustainability, and Knowledge Transfer. - Bob's technical expertise is in the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the solution of industrial problems. He has been successful in applying neural networks, expert and fuzzy methods, and related technology to sustainability and renewable energy systems; condition monitoring, diagnostic tools and systems; automotive electronics and engine management systems. He has made a national contribution in the fields of knowledge and technology transfer, the commercialisation of research, and the third-mission agenda. - His current interests centre on the application of intelligent systems to sustainability, particularly renewable energy, smart / micro grids and applications in housing and glasshouse horticulture. - Bob is Visiting Professor at 'Aurel Vlaicu' University of Arad, Romania, and Visiting Professor at Bournemouth University, UK. He works with a number of universities on the supervision teams of PhD students, and providing technical input to projects.

Dr Vipul Jain is Associate Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Wellington School of Business and Government, joining the school from a role as Assistant Professor at University of Sharjah, UAE and IIT Delhi, India. Dr Jain has also worked as a French Government researcher for the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control at Nancy, France, and was also involved in the European project I*PROMS (Innovative Production Machines and Systems) from UK. Dr Jain has more than 100 archival publications to his credit in high impact factor journals, andis also the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Intelligent Enterprise and an Editorial Board member for seven international journals. Vipul has also guest edited special issues of prestigious international journals in the areas of Operations and Supply Chain Management. Vipul is ranked 7th in India in a list of top 20 Indian leading academicians publishing in the area of Logistics and Supply Chain management in an exhaustive study entitled "Analysis of the Logistics research in India- white paper (2012), pp.1-11" conducted by researchers from Institute of Transport Logistics, Dortmund University, Institute for Supply Chain and Network Management, TechnischeUniversität Darmstadt, and University of Münster, Germany. Vipul is involved as a scientific and advisory committee member for various prestigious international conferences and has chaired many sessions in INFORMS, IEEE IEEM conferences in USA, Europe, Hong Kong, Asia etc. He was the Programme Coordinator for the Masters in Industrial Engineering Programme at IIT Delhi, and has been actively involved in conducting Management Development Programmes/Training Programmes for Senior Managers and Executives of Public and Private Organisations in India on various issues and challenges encountered in Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.

Professor Alias Abdul-Rahman is an Associate Professor at the Department of Geoinformatics, Faculty of Geoinformation Science and Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor, Malaysia Alias Abdul Rahman holds a PhD from the University of Glasgow, UK, he has headed up the 3D GIS Research Lab since 2000. Horia-Nicolai L. Teodorescu is a professor at the Technical University of Iasi, Romania. He is also an associate professor in the department of computer science of the University "Al.I. Cuza" of Iasi, Romania, where he teaches postgraduate classes. He served as a visiting or invited professor at University of South Florida, Tampa, Fl., US, Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland, and University of Leon, Spain. He served as Director of the Institute of Computer Science of the Romanian Academy and is now Honorary Director of the same institute. His interests are diverse, comprising A.I. and applications, including speech technology and biomedical applications, chaos theory and applications, social networks dynamics, neuro-fuzzy systems and cellular automata, and mathematical aspects of the above. He holds two honorary doctorates (h.c.), about 25 patents, authored or co-authored more than 300 papers, and authored, co-authored or co-edited about 20 books with Springer, Kluwer, CRC-Taylor (Fuzzy and Neuro-Fuzzy Systems in Medicine, second edition 2017, CRC-Taylor; Improving Disaster Resilience and Mitigation - IT Means and Tools, Springer; Intelligent Systems and Interfaces, Kluwer-Springer etc.) and national publishers. He received several national and international honors and was recently nominated honorary citizen of his city (one of the largest in Romania) for his contribution to the local development and culture.
